Josie Zamora was introduced to Flourish by a good friend and became a part of the Compassionate Leaders in 2017, embracing and thriving in the environment CLP provided during her final two years of high school. Josie also traveled to Ladakh both years and implemented the values learned during meetings to cultivate commonalities and friendships between herself and the students at Mahabodhi. After graduating from Wood River High School in 2018, she moved to Southern California to pursue an education in Marine Biology, while still keeping in touch with the core values and friends of Flourish. During the pandemic, Josie was fortunate enough to come back to the valley and join Noah and other CLP Alumni and create a small alumni group where they continued to explore their emotional development. Later in the year, she was ecstatic to accept the invitation to join the Board of Directors. Josie hopes to bring in the perspective of the CLP members both past and current and create space where they can influence how Flourish navigates moving forward in the years to come.
