Ian moved to Idaho from California in 2003.  He received a B.A. in Economics from the University of California, Santa Cruz and after a brief stint as a hedge fund analyst moved to Mackay to work and support high risk youth at a ranch near Craters of the Moon.  From there he moved to Hailey and returned to the finance industry in 2007, just as things got interesting. He is now a Director at American Capital Advisory, an independent investment advisory firm in Ketchum.  He and his family enjoy climbing rocks and outdoor recreation in general. He regards his wife Lindsey, as the inspiration for any self-reflection and contemplation that he’s undertaken in the last decade and a half, and their toddler Catherine as the motivation for continued daily and future contemplation. Ian is honored to be a part of the Flourish Foundation Board of Directors, and believes the mission of promoting healthy habits of mind strikes at the root of the many perceived ills in our world.
