Mindful Awareness Facilitator

Emilie Crist

Emilie feels lucky to say she was born and raised in the beautiful mountains of Sun Valley Idaho. She attended The Community School K-12th, and went to College at Loyola Marymont in Los Angeles where she studied Theater and Psychology. After that she journeyed to New Zealand where she lived for a year WOOFING (working on organic farms) and sharpening her skills in embarking on crazy adventures.  She is proud to say that she has volunteered her time teaching English and giving love to orphans in Southern India, along with educating and giving hope to young women in the sex slavery industry in Cambodia.

She completed 200 hours of Yoga Teacher Training at Sonic Yoga in New York City and is a member of Yoga Alliance.  She has completed the Inner Kids training program founded by Susan Kaiser Greenland, who wrote The Mindful Child.  Behind her smile lays a deep passion for spreading compassion and teaching awareness through contemplative practices to kids and teens.

She truly believes that if we want to achieve peace in the world we must start with the children. Emilie secretly likes to call herself an explorer, and with a deep sigh, she admits her wanderlust continues to grow with each trip she takes. Lately, the most interesting place that she has visited has been along the path of self-discovery.
